How To Make Fellow Bloggers Promote You

In terms of business, people are so often irritated by fellow business people that are in the same market and business, right? Would anyone be happy having competitors which directly decreases your income. In the internet marketing scenario, it is a bit different, yet beneficial. In every business nowadays, there will always be tight competition. No matter how specific you target a certain niche, competitions will always be around whether you like or not.

Let's talk about blogging. The blogging business is I guess one of the most popular markets to venture into. More opportunities, more niches, more markets, but also more competition. When I started blogging, I realized that this is one of the hardest internet marketing businesses to pursue just in case the blogger doesn't have much knowledge about it. Writing articles is easy especially now that there are freelance writers whom you can pay to write for you right? The bad thing here is that even though you provide the best article, you can't just simply be on top of the competition. First thing you need to remember is that there are many bloggers who share lectures and tips based from their own experience, not based from ebooks and articles available online. If you are a new blogger, how can you be popular?

Let me give you a very quick tip that you can do to easily build credibility. Remember, your goal as a blogger is not just to effectively promote yourself but for other people to effectively promote you. Now, the question here is, how will you make fellow bloggers promote you? The answer is very simple, promote them and communicate with them afterwards.

1.) Write an article promoting or praising their website, brand or products and services

2.) Don't just simply post it afterwards. You need to get their email and communicate with them.

3.) In your email, tell them that you are writing an article to promote their website. Ofcourse
they will feel intrigued about why you will do it. If there will be any price to pay or X-deals.

In your email, make it simple. Paste the article you wrote and tell them if the article was written about them. Let them interact and give ideas and suggestions about what you have written.

4.) Don't ask for anything in return

5.) Post in on your website and once done, send the blog post link to their email so that you will have the chance to communicate and interact with them again. Always remember, repeat interaction will be a the start of a good friendly relationship online.

You may not instantly be promoted by other bloggers because of what you did but believe me, the time will come that they will surely promote you in every way possible. It could be via email marketing, newsletters, free advertisements, free web linking, write ups and many more. There are a lot of ways on how fellow bloggers could promote you. Listen carefully, don't feel to excited about it, sometimes, it will take weeks or months before it take effect. One thing is for sure, you will be promoted by that simple act of yours. Believe me, it works!

Don't Seek Perfection, Just Do The Right Thing

Good results is what truly matters. Why conduct business if you are always thinking of possible failure in the future? All of us are trained and taught about positive Thinking. They say that what we perceive is what we can personally achieve. Of course, good results is what we all would like, however we need to know our limits as well.

Danger comes in when people expect perfection in everything they do. They should accomplished every task to their best ability. It would appear great to be a perfectionist but in the end is destructive.

Have you heard of some business people who have a"perfectionism attitude? Do you know someone who does not commit mistakes? Do you know of people who kill themselves because of disappointments? Perfectionism, as the term implies, is all about wanting everything to be perfect. The darkside of it is when people don't achieve their expected results and ended of disappointed. The Japanese, for example, has a history of Harakiri. It ws a suicidal tendency for Japanese people whenever they felt disappointment, shame and loss of pride. This is what happened historically. Nowadays, though people get frustrated and disappointed, but they don't commit suicide but continue living a different life.

Let myself be an example:

When I started in internet marketing, I was trained by a well known internet marketer, who taught me everything I needed to know. Once I was ready started running my own online business, I had a lot of expectations especially about my target profits. I followed the correct processes and I made some good profits but not as much as I had targeted.. Though I had some earnings, I too got frustrated and stopped internet marketing for a while. My disappointment did not make me think of suicide but it frustrate me due to all the effort I had put in.

Perfectionism is good in some ways but always remember that you need to put limits to your expectations. We all want what's best, but no matter how hard we try, we don't receive everything we expected. In doing business, don't seek perfection, just do the right thing.

Leadership From Results

In this world we live in, there are different kinds of leaders whom you can define and differentiate.
There are leaders who started from being a mentor.
There are leaders who achieved the position because fo respect
There are leaders who became leaders because of years of experience
There are leaders who became leaders because they set good examples for their employees.
These are just a few of types of leaders.

Let me discuss to you now about leadership by results.

What is leadership by results?

It's simple; people give respect to you because you produce better results than other employees.
Every company or employer wants to experience an increase in profits, increased percentage from the target market and more dedicated employees. Anyone who can do that would possibly be viewed as a leader not because of his/her years of work experience but because of the skill he/she possesses that will produce the most significant outcome.

From all of the above kinds of leader, I guess leadership by results is my favorite. In companies nowadays, there are people being promoted because of who they know, or he/she is highly respected or their work experience background and school attainment is impressive. Unfortunately, only few companies knows how to get effective leaders. Those are the companies who hire leaders based from the results it could produce.

Now, which kind of leader are you? Are you the one who has good education background? Are you the one who is well respected or popular? Are you the one who has knows people inside and who are close to HR? Or are you the one who is hired because of the results you can produce?

As a leader, you need to be highly dedicated on producing much more than what the company expects. If your boss wants 2% sales increase, then give him 3% increase.

Always remember, leadership does not stop when you get the position. In fact, once you are promoted as a leader, that's only the start for you to become more dedicated and inspire more to bring better results to the company you are working for.

Talk Less, Act More

One negative character that many people have nowadays is that they often talk, but seldom act. Have you been part of a group in school, team in a company, or simply planned things with other people? Whenever people plan, their are corresponding non stop talking and conversing just to finalize what will be done. Unfortunately, not all those plan do happen. Most of them are only written, never fulfilled.

People may be unaware to it but that's what normally happens. There are many wasted hours spent in planning, though at the time of implementation, things don't happen as planned, right? The problem with people is that they "talk more, act less". We are all given special and creative ideas. There's is nothing wrong with that. Problems start when those creative ideas don't happen.Am I against those creative individuals? ofcourse not! I am here to encourage you to change what you have being doing for years. Instead of talking more, talk less and put more things in action. Why spend hours hours on planning if not all of your plans will be implemented?

I have a lot of regrets in my life. One of them are those wasted hours. As business people and
entrepreneurs, we ought to think of ways to make our business better. Here's what I learned
from my experience, we should "talk less, act more". We should focus on acting fast when problems occur. Often times the solution and right ideas are just in the back of our minds. We don't need hours and days to pull it out of our heads.

If you could shift your mindset and attitude from talking less to acting more, I believe you
could produce much better outcomes than "talking more, and acting less".

Working online - is it possible?

You better believe it. There is money to be made online but only if you know how. Too many people belief that they can make money doing nothing, that is they subscribe to a program pay some money and then sit back and do nothing.

If you honestly believe that can work well then you are flawed in your thinking. No matter how attractive the program looks it has to be investigated fully. There's no such thing as free money online.

In order to make money online you have to work a business. Yes you have to work. There will come a time when you can work less, but initially there will be a period of working!

If you don't enjoy sitting at your computer for a large part of the day then working online may not be for you. You will need to put in long hours in front of the pc initially. However it depends on what you want to do.

What is a Great Leader?

What is a leader? And I’m not just talking about a leader per se, I am talking about a great leader. Time immemorial, there have been many great leaders of our generation and from the previous ones – good or bad, dead or alive, past or present – Abraham Lincoln, Indira Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Adolf Hitler, Richard Nixon, Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King, George W. Bush, Mother Theresa. What do these people have in common?

There are many definitions of a leader. Some claim that leaders need to be intelligent to rule the world; others claim that being a leader requires gut, bravery and courage to stand out.

But what does a leader really mean?

According to Jim Kouzes, author of a leadership book called “The Leadership Challenge,” leaders are set to lead the way through their own set of examples, and through their character which include their beliefs, their values for themselves and their organizations. Second is that they have a vision of looking forward to the future and they encourage others to do the same thing. Third is that leaders are there to take risks and challenge the process of leadership. They continually expand, and look for areas where they would still grow. Fourth, according to Kouzes, they foster an atmosphere of collaboration and development. And lastly, they recognize not only team management, but also individual accomplishments as well.

A leader doesn’t only adhere to the present rules, thereby, following these rules that are already made for him. A leader makes his own path and makes his new rules so that others may be able to obey to these new set of rules. Another thing is that leaders should also be responsible not just to rule, but be able to be responsible for his own self. How can a leader lead his group of people if he himself doesn’t follow his own rules? And most importantly, just like what Mother Teresa has shown upon us, a leader is here to serve, and not just the other way around. There are some leaders now who take advantage and do the opposite – this is not what a great leader is all about. He must be able to be visible and present at all times to serve people.

These, among other things, constitute what being a leader is all about. So, am I saying that all of these leaders have the same qualities? To answer that question is a little bit difficult because all of the leaders mentioned above may possess all of these things and so much more, and yet sometimes, their leadership qualities got skewed along the way.

Take heart and be a leader in your own right.

Be A First-Rate Salesperson

Being a salesperson can be a grueling occupation. You come into contact with different types of people. You have to speak to them, tell them all about yourself and your merchandise or service.

Then, there's the stereotype that people have about salespeople: that they are slick, smooth-talking people who only care about their own commissions. Many people consider sales people as bothersome and relentless individuals.

In endeavoring to be a first-rate salesperson, the most important thing you want to do is to remove this preconception by endeavoring to put forward a win-win proposition.

What follows are various strategies for becoming the most effective salesperson that you can be:

1. Appearance

Find clothes that fit you. Loose clothes can give the impression of being untidy and unkempt. Consider this: Would you buy from a sales person that looked shabby and disheveled?

Quick Tip - Wear a watch. The watch will tell the other person that you're an individual who values time.

2. Smile

Something many people don't do, however people always tend to appreciate friendly looking people. A smile can make you appear approachable and friendly.

Quick Tip - beware! Make sure your smile is not forced and unnatural, or even worse that it looks like a grimace! Remember that people notice a forced smile immediately. This can make them edgy and defensive.

A effective trick is to recall something nice that took place earlier. This will bring about a more natural smile that the customer will likely reciprocate.

3. Know your product/service inside out

The biggest mistake any salesperson can make is not knowing their product or service. It's impossible to convince someone to purchase the product or service if you cannot discuss your product and its features?

The potential buyer will ask questions about the product or service. The reason is they need to be convinced that it is right for them. The most important point here is that you must be able to reply to their questions them with assurance and authority. You should use the product or service yourself then you can be tell people about the benefits of your product, since you know them first hand.

It is also important that you know the advantages and disadvantages of your product or service. For instance, if your firm is selling different types of software, tell the prospective purchaser what is the difference between these products and those of your competitors.

4. Read Up

Apart from understanding your product fully, you have to also know your competitor’s product or service. You have to be able to emphasize how your product or service is the best in the market for compared to others. To this you need to know all your competitors products inside and out.

You must also keep informed about the trends in the market. Ascertain the needs and wants of particular groups. Be familiar with the features that they want so that you can use this information in promoting your product or service.

5. Experience joy in challenges

Have you ever one a sporting event like tennis, squash? Recall that triumphant feeling you felt because you had outfoxed your opponent with a well-thought strategy? Well, why not employ the same thing when selling?

A time will come when you will encounter a stubborn and immovable obstacle. The problematical customer is the one who debunks every proposition, every sales offering. This person is the one that asks an infinite amount of questions and then refuses to buy in the end.

One thing you should be aware of and learn from is that perhaps you did not sell the product in a way that would meet their requirements. Go over what strategy you used and see what you can learn from it.

6. Always be on time

When you have a meeting with a client, never arrive late. Tardiness can tell your client two things: 1. That you are not the sort of salesman they wish to do business with and 2. You have little or no interest in earning their custom.

Remember I said earlier about wearing a watch - as it shows you value time? Remember that your prospective clients are making time for you despite their busy schedules. They are taking time out of their day for you - respect that!

Quick Tip - Make sure you arrive at the designated meeting place 10-minutes early. Doing this allows you to get your thoughts together and relax before the meeting. Arriving early also gives you an opportunity to look around and observe your environment, as these may give hints about the type of people you're going to meet.

7. What do they Want? - Ask them!

Identify the problem they are encountering - what is the idea solution for them. If you can provide it then do so. Once you know what they are looking for you can tailor a solution to their needs. Remember don't try to push a product or service onto a individual if they do not actually want or need it.

Once they give you a description of what they want, respond with the products or services that fulfill their requirements. A client will more inclined to buy if have alternatives to choose from.

8. Being persuasive vs being persistent

Persuasion is the essential element of closing a sale. However, persuasion is very different from persistence. If you constantly call them, or show up at their offices without scheduling an appointment, repeatedly trying to do a sale pitch, will assist you in losing favor with the perspective client .

Always make sure to present a win-win situation. If your product is not suitable for the client, don't sell it for the sake of selling it. People will respect your honesty and integrity

9. The Relationship does not end with the sale

You've finally made the sale and receive your bonus - well done. However this does not mean your relationship with the client is over. In fact it has just begun! Make sure you look after your client and the sales will look after themselves. Remember your product will have updates and improvements which your client may need!

10. Treat criticism as feedback

It is important to understand criticism. Criticism is normally not to be taken personally. Use it as a learning experience. Perhaps your sales pitch was not appropriate, maybe you did not communicate your thoughts correctly. Learn from everything. If you change your mindset to take criticism as feedback, you'll actually grow more as a sales person.

Remember that there are things going on in the background, perhaps within the company, in the persons private life which could be causing them to be critical - it's not about you!

To become a first-rate salesperson you need to work at it. It's not going to happen over night. In the words of Tony Robbins remember CANI Constant And Never ending Improvement....

Problem Solving Tips

Firstly let's just say problems occur as a natural consequence of human life.

Often times, people get into deeper troubles when trying to solve problems. On a positive note, problems make one’s life exciting and these define a person’s character. One can take a positive view towards approaching his problems, but he should always face his problems in the right way.

Some people tend to block off their problems or hide and wait for these problems to disintegrate in thin air. Some people resort to the use of alcohol (or perhaps illegal drugs) to “forget” their problems. Perhaps drinking a couple of beers will help one think of a bright solution but it’s as far as drinking will take him. Implementing the plan to solve a problem requires additional elements.

Here are some tips on how to take on one’s problem and be able to effectively resolve it:

1. Use your observational skills

This basic step is thought in primary school and can be applied in the real-life scenario. Many people tend to forget this primary step in solving a problem.

Carefully observe the implications of a certain problem and try to infer on its possible causes. This move will give you a more comprehensive view of the whole scenario that is essential towards arriving at a holistic solution.

2. Dissect the problem and search for the root cause

Problems may present themselves as a consequence or the root of other problems. It is best that you target the main cause of the problem. This way, all the other problems that come along with it can be solved as well. Make sure that the problem that you are trying to address is the root and not the consequence. Problems are like weeds. Unless you take out the roots, these will just keep coming back to hunt you.

3. Maximize resources

Problems will vary in nature and therefore, the approaches will vary. However, problem solving will always involve the use of resources. Resources will not always refer to physical resources, but to one’s capacities in delivering results. Choose an approach that matches your resources.

4. Seek many choices

Always look at all the choices and alternatives available. Aristotle tells us that there should always be a third choice when addressing a problem. A problem is never exclusively in black or white. There will always be gray areas. If you only have two choices, think harder.

5. Maintain a positive attitude

Failure is bound to happen some times. However, when a problem is not solved, do not ever lose hope especially if you did your best. Some solutions are never meant to work or perhaps the problem will be solved by another individual. What matters most are the lessons that you will learn in trying to solve the said problem.

A journey contains experiences that can never be encountered in the destination. Life itself is a journey and troubles are part of this journey.

Losing one’s battles every once in a while is normal but you should always remember the lessons that you learn from each battle and come back stronger the next time around.

11 Tips on Selling

Face facts right now - it's extremely difficult to sell a quality product or service in todays marketplace. If a business wants its product to sell and survive in the market place, not only does it have to be the best in it's class, but it needs to be marketed by the best sales person there is.

If a salesperson wishes to be successful, they change their marketing strategies on a regular basis. But wait, don't worry too much. You'll find the following tips will really help you become a much better sales person. However reading them alone won't make you better - you need to take action and implement them. When you're a great sales person making sales will become very easy and profitable

Tip number one: No may lead to a yes! When a perspective customer says no, ask yourself why are they resisting buying? Was it your deliver? Was your message clear? Does your product meet their needs - not yours! What you need to do is meet the customer at their level of needs and desires. Perhaps your top of the range product is too top of the range. Their needs may be less than what you have told them your top of the range product does

If you are cold selling a lot of the time, customers will usually say no, simply because it can be habit. Like I said above, when a customer says no, it's because you have not convinced them!

However, if the customer still says No, then leave with a good mood. Don’t forget to wish the customer good luck before you part ways. You never know when the perspective customer may come looking for you as the time is now right for them.

Tip number two: Contact the customer in X weeks time. Sometimes the timing was not right. However don't contact them too soon otherwise they will think you are too pushy - in fact a typical stereo typical sales person! Perhaps just let them know that you've managed to do something with the price of the product, are they interested in finding out more? Be pro-active - don't tell them the price on the phone, say you'd like to meet them and talk to them again.

Tip number three: Find out what is important to the perspective customer. If you have figures for say increasing efficiency or reducing costs, tell them so. This may be more important to them then cost alone. Finding what is called their hot button is so important! Every person has one - it's what makes them buy something.

Tip number four: Be Original. Make your sales pitch interesting, people will remember you and your company or product. People hate to get a learned script rattled off to them. However be natural as well, people don't like insincere sales people. You know the type, well polished, little flash of light beams of your tooth. The best way to be original is to really know and love your product. Your enthusiasm will shine thru.

Tip number five: Use NLP. I've put up a few articles about Neuro Linguistic Programming which are worth a read. NLP allows you to master communication and really be effective in your messages.

Tip number six: Needs before Profit. Give your customers what they really need, rather than sell them for the sake of profit. If you advise a customer well and they buy a product that fits your needs they may well recommend you. However if you sell them something that is not right for them, they won't buy from you again. In fact they may tell more people about you and your purely profit selling techniques.

Tip number seven: Build a relationship. Good sales people build good relationships. They don't sell to a person and move on. They form a relationship with them, and this allows them to upsell and cross sell to them. The sales person who sees customers as one off sales are the ones that may well fail.

Tip number eight: Believe you can. Believe you are a good sales person and you will be one! How can you do this? Firstly believe in the product you are selling. I was once involved in a direct marketing company, however I did not believe in the product and thus my sales were not very good. When you believe in a product your passion will shine through. You'll love selling the product and meeting people.

Tip number nine: Build rapport. This ties in with tip number five. You need to build rapport. That is you need to make sure that people can warm to you. Be relaxed and natural with people. Study some books on NLP and learn how to listen and build rapport quickly. In fact listening is a key skills in sales discussed below.

Tip number ten: Listen. So many people don't listen to their customers. They simply sell to them. Listen to what your customer is saying. Are they saying that the product is too expensive, too complicated, too advanced for their needs? By listening to a customer you can learn so much!

Tip number eleven: Know your product. This is so important. I have had sales people on the phone to me, who are reading from a script. When I ask a question they can't answer it. Well let me tell you I'm not going to buy from them. Get an in depth knowledge of your product and people will know you are sincere about your selling.

The tips discussed are fairly common sense, but so many people forget them. However by following them you can become a better salesperson and ultimately have more satisfied customers and more commissions for yourself!

Ways of Making Money Online Part 2

The first way of making money online was to sell someone elses product. The next way is to produce your own product and sell it.

Whoa I hear you saying my own product, what could I sell?

Ok the "usual" things you hear about:
ebooks
scripts
programs
resell rights products

Yeah sure these are all good, but too many people get stuck in the trap of the above products - you don't have too!

Think around, inside and outside the box. How about:
T-shirts
Calendars
Mugs
Your paintings
Your crafts.....

The ideas are endless, you just have to think about a niche, (for more information on niches visit nicheandgrowrich.com) and then create products they might like.

You see too many people are trying to make money in the make money niche, and it's not working out! So move niche, move to a non Internet Marketing Niche, what about tshirts for gardeners? Mugs for office works with funny quotes?

So think my friend, think about what you can do not what you can't

Ways of Making Money Online Part 1

When people say they make money online, most people go huh? How do you do that? You must run a porn site or something like that!

You see "most people" don't realise the economic model which is the web! Let's look at one of two ways you can make money, both linked together.

The first thing to do is to sell other peoples products and make money from it. Think about this - you do this every single day. You know how you recommend that sandwich bar down the road? What about that great coffee joint you discovered.....

You know something you never get paid for that recommendation, but you are sending customer to the business and they are making a profit - kinda unfair when you think about it!

On the net things are slightly different, in fact they are very different. It's possible to recommend products and get paid if someone buys on your recommendation.

How much could I earn?

To be honest it depends on the program, however some programs pay from 50% up to 100% of the purchase price, yup you read that right up to 100%

This is known as affiliate marketing. You become an affiliate and promote a product. You receive a special web address with a special unique code which is registered to you. The person who owns the product will be able to track every sale and attribute it back to you. You then get paid either on a set day, or when you achieve a particular sales target, for example at $35 or more.

Is affiliate marketing difficult?

Not really if you do it correctly. For a good free primer I recommend you visit http://www.ebits.ie and get your free copy of the affiliate handbook.

Keep reading the articles in this series for more great information.
